Tornado, Large Hail, 60 MPH Winds Possible Across Detroit Area Tuesday

The storms are expected to move into the region between 2 and 11 p.m. They could produce heavy downpours, large hail greater than 1 inch, winds up to 60 mph, and possibly an isolated tornado. Areas south of Interstate 69 are at the highest risk of severe weather. Temperatures across the region will drop into the 40s after the storms, with temperatures expected to reach 50 degrees on Wednesday. The weather service predicts that temperatures will return to the 70s on Thursday, with another potential for severe thunderstorms.
