Tottenham Hotspur is facing relegation to a lower league level in the Premier League, following a 3-1 loss to Crystal Palace. The club, known for its $1.6 billion stadium, is one of only six clubs to have never been relegated from the Premier Leagues since 1992. The team's most recent match was held at a low point, with fans leaving the stadium empty for the second half. The financial crisis has left Spurs without a clear vision for the future of the club, with players such as Harry Kane and Heung-min Son leaving and stars such as Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison missing due to injuries. The decline on the pitch has been gradual, with this season supposed to be about solidity, rebuilding after winning their first trophy in nearly two decades. However, the team's performance has been poor and defensive play has been abysmal this season, with the fourth-most goals conceded in the league. The departure of long-time chairman Daniel Levy, who was instrumental in building the finest stadium in Europe and one of the best training grounds in the world, has created a significant gap in the club's infrastructure and management, and the lack of clear leadership within the club.
