Man who shot 3 people at Akron bar sentenced to prison

A Summit County judge has sentenced Jakel Blackwell, a 22-year-old man from Akron, Ohio, to a maximum term of 18.5 years in prison for shooting three people at a bar in 2025, leaving one victim paralyzed. The shooting occurred at the Field House Lounge in downtown Akron. The victims are still recovering from their injuries, and an anonymous caller identified the gunman as Blackwell.
