Hills-Beaver Creek, a boys basketball team that won a Class Nine-Player Football state championship in the fall, defeated top-seeded Henning 71-67 in overtime in the Minnesota State High School League’s 2026 Boys Basketball State Tournament. The Patriots, who are ranked No. 5 in Class A, will next face Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton or Red Lake County in the championship game. Head coach Chad Rauk credits the strength of the team's size and athleticism to their ability to compete.
