HBO drops trailer for ‘Harry Potter’ series, announces Christmas release

HBO has released a teaser for its upcoming "Harry Potter" television series, which will be released globally on Christmas Day. The series will explore J.K. Rowling's seven-novel saga, with the first season readapting her first work. The trailer introduces all of the main characters, including Harry Potter, played by Dominic McLaughlin, and the cast includes Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley, John Lithgow as Hogwarts headmaster Albus Dumbledore, Paapa Essiedu as Professor Severus Snape.
