Bruins sign top prospect James Hagens to AHL deal

Boston Bruins have signed top prospect James Hagens to an amateur tryout agreement, with the announcement that he will report to the team's affiliate in Providence. This is the highest draft pick for the Bruins since they selected Tyler Seguin at No. 2 overall in 2010. Hagens had a successful season at Boston College, leading Hockey East and ranking Top 10 in scoring. He believes he can contribute immediately in the NHL. The team will evaluate his situation on a day-by-day basis.
