Rachel Accurso, the prominent children's entertainer known as Ms. Rachel, is fighting to close the Dilley Immigration Processing Center in South Texas, where ICE has been detaining children and their parents. AccurSO first discovered about Dilley after federal agents detained the father of 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos in Minneapolis and sent them both to Dilley. The facility has been under the Trump administration's immigration crackdown and over 2,300 children have been detained with their parents, many of whom have complained of limited education, inconsistent food and inconsistent sleeping arrangements. Despite backlash from her for advocating for children in Gaza and for her political stance, she maintains that all children are equal.
