Severe Storms With Tornadoes, 75 MPH Winds, Snow In VA Forecast Monday

Meteorologists are warning of severe weather across the central and eastern United States from Sunday afternoon to Monday, with over a dozen states expected to be at risk for severe thunderstorms. The National Weather Service predicts that rain will fall overnight into early Monday morning, potentially dumping up to an inch on parts of Virginia. Severe thunderstorms are expected from Florida to New York, with some expected to occur from Florida. Forecasters also warned of a "March Megastorm" expected to bring blizzard conditions to the Midwest and affect the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. The Virginia forecast predicts an 80 percent chance of snowfall in northern Virginia, but it should only amount to a half inch or less.
