Two family members were found dead in a Westminster house in what police have called a domestic violence-related murder-suicide. The incident occurred around 8:29 a.m. Sunday morning, when a 911 caller reported that an adult family member had shot another adult member, but the status of the two family members was unknown. Westminster police and Carroll County sheriff's deputies established a perimeter around the house and closed East Main Street as a precaution. The Carroll County Sheriff's Office Crisis Response Team and Crisis Negotiations Team were dispatched to the house shortly before 10 a.am. The identities of the deceased were not disclosed. Police have stated there is no ongoing threat to the public.
