New MacBook dock adds special Mac hot keys and SSD slot

Kensington's new EQ Pro Thunderbolt 5 Dock for MacBook, known as the SD7100TS, has been designed for MacBook users and features a dedicated SSD slot for storage. The dock is stacked with 19 ports and comes with special Mac hot keys for iPhone photo backup and a Focus Mode. It also features a USB-C to HDMI/DP adapter cable for monitors and storage drives. The design features a full set of Thunderbolt 5 ports, which are backwards compatible with Thunderbolt 4 and 3, and are designed to work with earlier versions of Macs. Despite being under-powered, the dock has a maximum 180W power supply, which is not up to the maximum shared power load the dock can supply. The power supply is rated at 180W, making it likely that 180W would have been a more sensible choice from Kensington.
