Casely has reannounced its 2025 recall of the 5,000mAh Power Pods MagSafe charger, following a fatality in New Jersey and numerous injuries. The company's MagSafe-compatible power bank was recalled in April 2025 following 51 incidents of overheating, expanding, or catching fire. The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (USCPSC) stated that the recalled power banks pose a serious risk of serious injury or death from fire and burn hazards. The defective battery packs can be identified by their model number E33A and "Casely" engraved on the front side of the device. Users can receive replacement units via a form on the manufacturer's website.
