Greg Jones, a veteran utility man for the Milwaukee Brewers, has been designated for assignment and was outrighted to Triple-A Nashville, but elected free agency instead. Jones, who has played only 12 games for the Brewers in the big leagues, cleared waivers and was out with one RBI in his 12 games played. He has also played in six games with the Colorado Rockies in 2024, three games with Chicago White Sox in 2025, and 12 games with Brewers in 2026. Jones will now enter the open market and have an opportunity to sign elsewhere. However, it's not a 100 percent guarantee that he will be completely done with the team, but right now he's heading to the open markets.
