Miriam Shor, a TV performer and Marvel Cinematic Universe star, has directed a documentary about non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), which she believes are often used to censor certain information. The documentary, My NDA, premiered at the SXSW film festival and will be shown in a first-person perspective on how NDAs are being used to silence individuals. The film, which focuses on the emotional toll of being legally gagged and potentially subject to retaliatory lawsuits. Shor had previously signed an NDA and found an experienced partner in Juliane Dressner, who advised her to avoid non-fiction filmmaking with heavy legalese.
