Uma Thurman, known for her villainous roles in Batman & Robin and The Old Guard 2, has revealed that she prefers to play a good person in movies. Speaking to PEOPLE at the SXSW Film & TV Festival, she explained that she identifies the essential motivation for each character through understanding them. In her new film, Pretty Lethal, she plays a reclusive former ballet prodigy named Devora Kasimer. The film is directed by Vicky Jewson and stars Maddie Ziegler, Lana Condor, Avantika, Millicent Simmonds and Iris Apatow. Despite having starred in numerous action movies, Thurman said she doesn't particularly like violence.
