Safari-park owner Gary Freeman, who once said he would rather be killed by an elephant than shoot one, was fatally tramped by an animal at his South African wildlife reserve. Freeman, an experienced safari tour guide, was leading a group of fourists at Klaserie Private Nature Reserve when the rogue elephant suddenly charged at him. Despite efforts to free Freeman from the charge, he was unable to stop the animal. An inquest has been launched to determine if the elephant is a threat to others.
