Thailand's Prime Minister, Anutin Charnvirakul, is seeking a new mandate in parliament as he seeks to secure a more than half of the house's support. The Bhumjaithai Party, which won the February election, has made a pact with the politically bruised Pheu Thai and formed an alliance to control 290 of the current 499 seats in parliament.
