Two teens charged in the shooting that injured a 17-year-old boy during the Mall at Partridge Creek's tree lighting ceremony have been bound over to circuit court in Macomb County, Michigan. The shooting occurred near the MJR theater on Nov. 23, 2025, during which families were attending the mall's tree-lighting event and moviegoers were inside the theater. King Payne and Christian Griffin were charged with assault with intent to murder as adults and later charged with accessory after the fact to a felony. Terrence Janell Brown, 18, was also charged with an accessory after-the-fact felony in March. Both Payne and Griffin were bound over for a preliminary examination and are set to be arraigned on Aug. 24 at 1:30 p.m.
