The National Weather Service has issued a forecast for a cooler Easter Sunday in Northeast Ohio, with a chance of showers before 8 a.m. Sunday, followed by mostly cloudy skies and highs in the mid to upper 40s. This would put Easter 2026 a bit cooler than Cleveland's long-term average for the holiday, but far from the most extreme Easter weather on record. This comes after a warm and unsettled period for the past week, with temperatures expected to reach the 70s across much of Northeast Ohio before a strong cold front sweeps through the region Saturday night. The warmest Easter on record in Cleveland reached 83 degrees in 1941 and 1976.
