The Wilmette Police Department is investigating a series of overnight auto burglaries that occurred during the April 18-19 weekend. The incidents occurred near the 2800 block of Old Glenview Road and were reportedly caused by one person breaking into several vehicle windows and removing valuable items from the vehicles. The police are urging residents to keep their vehicles locked and keep their windows closed when parked in public areas, and to remove valuable items when away from their cars.
