DeSantis doesn’t rule out a 2028 presidential run: ‘We’ll see’

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who is term-limited and will leave office in January 2027, has refused to rule out another presidential run in 2028. He was seen as a viable alternative to Donald Trump in the 2024 GOP primaries, but dropped out of the race after a second-place finish in the Iowa caucuses. Desantis argued that if Trump were not running in 2024, he would have received the support of most of the president's backers. The latest 2028 GOP presidential primary polls show Vice President JD Vance as the overwhelming frontrunner.
