Amy Beck, the mother of a former West Valley teacher involved in a sex scandal involving a student, is on paid administrative leave from her teaching job within the same school district due to ongoing investigations. Her daughter, Haley, was fired from her position at Centennial High School after allegations surfaced that she and another teacher, Angela Burlaka, had sexual encounters with the same underage student. No charges have been filed for either Haley Beck or Burlado, as the case is currently under review by the Maricopa County Attorney's Office. A substitute teacher will take over Amy Beck's class during the time.
