The Village of Tijeras, New Mexico, has failed to approve a controversial plan to rezone multiple acres in which commercial businesses could potentially move in. The proposal was defeated by only one councilor. The City of Albuquerque's Parks and Recreation Department is working to restore native habitats in the ABQ Bosque to reduce fire risk. Meanwhile, Clovis police are searching for two suspects in a deadly shooting incident on March 22, which resulted in a 21-year-old woman being killed and a 17-year old girl being critically injured. The video from the ABiqua BioPark shows an elephant who escaped from an enclosure and was returned to his habitat.
