Alberto Romero, a medical technician in Temecula, California, was severely burned when he attempted to rescue his daughter's cat in Tijuana, Mexico, on April 1. He became trapped in live wires of an electrical service drop after the pet had been missing for two days. The incident occurred around 11:00 p.m. and resulted in third-degree burns to his face, arm, chest, and side. Despite these injuries, Alberto, who has since been released from the hospital and is recovering at home, may lose his hand. His family is asking for donations to cover the costs of his recovery.
