City Official Dies After Getting Hit By Fallen Tree Branch In Oakland County

Doug Chmiel, a supervisor for the Huntington Woods Department of Public Works, died after being hit by a falling tree limb during a severe windstorm. Chmien was transported to Corewell Health William Beaumont Hospital and leaves behind a wife and three children. A GoFundMe campaign has raised over $177,000 to support his family.
