Hanover County, Maryland, has launched its first major tourism push with a tourism brand, website, app, and campaign targeting the I-95 corridor between D.C. and Richmond. The strategy involves history, outdoor recreation, agritourism, and events, with a mascot representing the "Ripe for Discovery" and a list of over 160 spots. The county's inaugural tourism director, Rachel Smith, said the initiative aims to encourage pass-through drivers and locals to explore and explore the area.
