Sandra Blockley, a former Pride of Britain award winner, has thanked her community for their support following a house fire that left her without a permanent address. The community raised £7,000 for the replacement costs of some of her possessions. She was not home at the time and only discovered about the fire when she returned from a line dancing session. Despite her absence from the house, she believes she would have survived the fire if she hadn't.
