Noah Taitz, a former Bishop Gorman basketball star, has returned to Las Vegas for the NCAA Tournament with Utah Valley, hoping to make the tournament. Taitz began his college career at Stanford before transferring to Loyola Marymount, where he had a serious calf injury that delayed his playing time significantly. He played in 38 games over two years and then played just five games the following year. Despite the setbacks, Taitz remains committed to his goals and is currently a graduate student with a master's degree in business. He averages a little over 20 minutes a game, scoring 5.3 points while shooting 35 percent on 3s. Utah Valley had to receive a preliminary court injunction to be eligible for the tournament, and is on their way to the Big West Conference.
