The author's daughter, Natalie, has discovered that the baseball team is cursed, having hired professional witches from Etsy to perform tarot readings, remove any existing curses and perform other supernatural activities. The first witch, who claimed to be a woman in Turkey, explained that her involvement in the process was part of her "resilence training". The second witch indicated that the Wheel of the Devil was on the rise.
