The key to New Orleans has been redesigned by local jeweler Adler as part of a final project before its closing. The idea came from two Moreno supporters and longtime Adler's customers. The campaign used private funds to pay $13,875 for 250 gold-plated pewter keys, plus matching organza bags and history cards. The new key features a fleur de lis surrounded by a crescent moon, the city's skyline, and an outline of the Mississippi River.
