St. Pete homeowner fatally shoots man trying to break in, police say

A 46-year-old man is dead after attempting to break into a home in St. Petersburg, Florida, shortly after midnight. The incident occurred when the man crashed his car and attempted to enter the home from the back, waking the homeowner. He was ordered to leave the premises but refused to leave. The homeowner has not been charged.
