Doha Film Institute Unveils Projects Set For Qumra Event That Has Moved Online Due to Iran War

The Doha Film Institute's Qumra Arab film industry incubator, which had been moved online due to the ongoing U.S.-Israel-Iran war, has unveiled 49 projects from 39 countries that will be on digital display from March 27-April 8. The features include "Pipes," a drama about a retired water authority worker under pressure from the village to bring back water, directed by Karim Kassem, and Chinese filmmaker and artist Qiu Jiongjiong. Other notable films include "Fuxi: Joy In Four Chapters," Chilean director Jairo Boisier Olave's "Radiesthesia," and France-based Cameroonian filmmaker Bernard Auguste Kouemo Yanghu's "House of the Wind". The event's 12th edition had been scheduled to run in Doha's Museum of Islamic Art and downtown Mushaireb neighborhood.
