A Taunton, Massachusetts, man, Jeffrey Powers, is accused of intentionally setting fire to a multifamily home while several residents were inside. The fire was reported around 7 a.m. on Tuesday and was extinguished within 35 minutes. Three people were able to escape the home safely, including Powers. The suspect was later arraigned on attempted murder and arson charges, pending a psychological evaluation. Neighbors are concerned about the other residents who lost their homes in the fire. The charges were not disclosed.
