UK Housing Secretary Steve Reed has denied Israel's claim that Iran has long-range missiles capable of reaching London, stating there is no specific assessment that the Iranians are targeting the UK. This comes after it emerged that Iran targeted the joint US-UK military base on the Chagos Islands, around 3,800km from Iran. Despite this, Reed insisted that the British armed forces would be able to defend the UK even if Iran could strike.
