The University of Minnesota's football program is expected to end its six-year NFL draft streak with one of only nine teams in the country to have a player selected in the opening two rounds since 2020. The Gophers' Pro Day will take place at the Larson Football Performance Center on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Only one player, Deven Eastern, is projected to be selected at all in the seven-round event scheduled for April 23-25. Eastern was the only player to participate at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama, and the Scouting Combine in Indianapolis. Other notable prospects this year include linebacker Devon Williams, receiver Le’Meke Brockington, and tight end Jameson Geers. Last year, the Gophers had one of their deepest overall NFL classes under head coach P.J. Fleck.
