The first female runner to finish the Jersey City Marathon, Sarah McGovern, finished the race with a time of 2:33:40 and earned a $5,000 first prize. The race, which is set to be held in 2023, includes both marathon and half-marathon distances and includes views of the New York City skyline. McGovern credits the energy of the race and the support of spectators and runners. The event attracted runners from all 50 states and 36 countries.
