Four foreign nationals in NJ charged in connection with illegally voting in federal elections: DOJ

The US Justice Department has charged four noncitizens in New Jersey with illegally voting in federal elections and making false statements while applying for US citizenship. The charges stem from a criminal investigation conducted by the District of New Jersey’s Election Integrity Task Force. Each defendant allegedly cast ballots in at least one federal election after falsely attesting that they were US citizens on voter registration forms. The defendants were charged with four separate criminal complaints filed by the New Jersey US Attorney’’�s Office. The accused individuals are accused of breaking federal law by voting in elections they were not eligible to participate in, and then lying under oath to conceal their conduct.
