The highly acclaimed Poulette Bakeshop in Parker, North Carolina, is moving into a larger space after four years of success and three James Beard nominations. The owners, Alan Ramos and Carolyn Nugent, have been named among the 22 Best Independent Bakeries in the United States by the New York Times and are three-time James Beard semifinalists. The bakery is now located on the corner of Mainstreet and Pine, nearly doubling its size from its previous location. The expansion means more walk-in coolers, ovens, and counter space for the bakery. The biggest change is the reintroduction of the bread program, which Nugent anticipates will be reintroduced daily.
