Lobos’ Jake Hall makes Mountain West history with freshman honor

UNM's Jake Hall has been named the Mountain West Freshman of the Year, making history as only the third player in the league's 27-year history to be named All-Mountain West First Team as a freshman. Hall, who broke the league’s freshman scoring record and leads UNM in scoring (16.3 points per game overall, 17.5 in conference games), is also the only two freshmen at UNM to ever earn conference first team honors. His teammate, Tomislav Buljan, was voted to the All-mountain West second team. Despite this, senior point guard Deyton Albury predicted the award from the Talking Grammer Podcast.
