Published on April 8, 2026.
The Testaments, the first sequel to The Handmaid's Tale since its series finale in 2025, made its three-episode premiere on Hulu on Tuesday. The creator and showrunner of both series, Bruce Miller, said he was fortunate to have a good working relationship with Atwood and allowed to defer to her work. The adaptation of Atwood’s novel, which won the 2019 Booker Prize alongside Bernardine Evaristo's Girl, Woman, Other, is faithful adaptation but allows for creative changes.
