American oncologist who became cruise ship's de-facto head doctor speaks to ABC News

Dr. Stephen Kornfeld, an oncologist from Bend, Oregon, became the de-facto head doctor on the cruise ship MV Hondius after the doctor contracted the hantavirus. Six passengers on the ship tested positive for the virus, including the ship's doctor and a ship's guide. The outbreak escalated within 24 hours of Kornfe's intervention, leading to a full-blown medical crisis on board the ship. The passengers will be flown to Nebraska for medical evaluation but there will be no mandatory quarantine.
