Two new Houston photography exhibitions, "Imaging After Photography" and "Artificial Intelligence," are aimed at confronting the uncertain future of image making in the city. The exhibitions focus on the work of photographers Ed Hill and Suzanne Bloom, co-founders of the pioneering photography duo MANUAL, who reshaped the artistic approach to how images are made. The first exhibition at Moody Gallery in Houston honors the legacy of MANUAL. The second at Rice University’s Moody Center for the Arts, a group exhibition focuses on artificial intelligence and the future in image making. The exhibition also includes works by Refik Anadol, Sofia Crespo, Lisa Oppenheim, and Nouf Aljowaysir.
