British Foreign Minister Yvette Cooper has announced that the UK is working with airlines to increase capacity out of Muscat, Oman to prioritise the evacuation of vulnerable British nationals. This comes as part of a wider effort to ensure the safety of the country's remaining citizens. The country is also in close contact with counterparts in the Gulf countries, where around 130,000 British citizens have registered their presence in the region.
