Steven Spielberg has revealed details about his abandoned sci-fi film, Robopocalypse, which he claimed would have been too expensive to make. The film, based on the 2011 novel Robopocalyptic, would have cost upwards of $200 million and was set to be directed by Spielberg in 2013. However, he decided to abandon the project indefinitely due to uncertain audience expectations. This follows a series of delays and pushed the movie from its release date to April 2014. This year, Spielberg will also be directing another sci-fiction movie, Disclosure Day, starring Emily Blunt, Josh O'Connor, and Colin Firth.
