The Underline project in Miami-Dade County is nearly completed, with a 10-mile linear park, urban trail, and public art destination across the county. The park was built in phases, with Phase 1 opening five years ago, the second phase in 2024, and the final phase is expected to be completed this year. Meg Daly, founder of Friends of The Underline, credits the park's safety and aesthetic improvements to reduce congestion and accessibility to train stations within its path. The project has attracted three million visitors each year and aims to encourage people to walk and bike instead of driving, take mass transit.
