Hospice of San Angelo, Texas, is seeking volunteers to support patients across the Concho Valley. Volunteers provide crucial support and companionship during the most difficult moments of life for patients and their families. Currently, about 40 volunteers assist with various tasks, including office work and special programs, and visiting patients in their homes or care facilities. Volunteers spend time building relationships with patients and spend up to two hours with them. The demand for volunteers continues to grow as Hospice serves more patients. The training for new volunteers is held twice a year, in the spring and fall, and the next session is scheduled for March 23.
