She was among the most sought after film and stage stars of the 1980s and late 1990s, appearing in Oscar-nominated films like The Age of Innocence and Woody Allen's Interiors. Despite being diagnosed with Alzheimers in 2015, she moved into a New York City memory care facility the following year. Her career saw her breakthrough with her first major screen acting role in 1978's "Interiors". She also received three Tony nominations for her stage work.
