President Donald Trump has postponed his trip to China for "five or six weeks," officially pushing the major summit to be held after administration officials opened the door to the postponement. The White House initially planned the trip from March 31 to April 2 and was expected to focus on trade issues, but could be delayed as the president focuses on the Iran war. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated that if the trip were delayed, it wouldn't be delayed due to the president's demands for China's help in reopening the Strait of Hormuz, a major trade route.
