Celtics’ Joe Mazzulla among finalists for ‘stupid’ Coach of the Year award

Celtic basketball coach, Joe Mazzulla, is among three finalists for the NBA's Coach of the Year award, joining Detroit's J.B. Bickerstaff and San Antonio's Mitch Johnson. Despite previously calling the award "stupid" and "dumb," Mazzullan may win it. He believes that the focus should be on players and assistant coaches for team success, not head coaches. Despite personal feelings about the award, he has a strong case this season for his role as a key player in the Celtics' 56-game winning streak.
