The new adaptive Apple Music design draws complaints from dark mode users

The new Apple Music album and playlist design introduced with iOS 26.4 has been met with criticism from some dark mode users. The new interface adapts to match the album art, which can cause screens to appear bright at night if an album features mostly white or other light-colored backgrounds. One workaround is to use the Increase Contrast accessibility option for Apple Music, which forces Apple to be less aggressive with its adaptive theming. However, a true fix will require Apple to update its software.
