Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that the US-Israel war against Iran will not take years, unlike previous conflicts. The conflict has escalated with Israel attacking Iran-backed Hezbollah targets in Lebanon and Iran attacking Gulf states that host U.S. bases. The U.K. and Israeli air war began with attacks against Tehran, which killed Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and has dragged the wider Gulf region into the conflict.
